VINTAGE. Oh how I love thee.
A few years ago I was a vintage fiend. Antique shops, Etsy vintage shops – I constantly perused. I sort of lost my fever for it for awhile but I think it is back in full force. I took a trip to Maeberry Vintage here in SLC, Utah and that was where I caught the fever again. GORGEOUS pieces, organized by decade and all really well kept. No “smells” or stained clothes like some vintage shops are wont to have. I could have spent hours there, and it’s not even a huge shop! I found at least 4 dresses I could have walked away with, but ultimately settled on this 1960’s number. My maiden name actually stars with an “O”, so growing up people would call me “Jackie O.” In this dress, I feel like I channel her – after all, she totally could have owned this very dress! (I like to tell myself that, don’t burst my bubble.)
Do you love vintage? I just LOVE that it is unique – nobody else has this dress and the styles were so unique, when was the last time you saw a dress with this neckline?! It’s a love affair I tell you.
Stay tuned to my Instagram because maybe just maybe we’ll have a giveaway for you later today for a credit to Maeberry Vintage! (Oh and don’t worry out of towners, you can shop their collection on their sales Instagram here: @shopmaeberry.)
