I got the opportunity to try out the new Jabra ROX wireless bluetooth headphones and see what my life could be like without wires. I don’t think I can ever go back to regular ear buds!

Sometimes when I get stressed or restless, I just have to go for a walk in a calming place. It could be the mountains near my house, or even a local park (like the one above). Either way I find it relaxing to get outside and just zone out for a little while, and distract myself with music! I actually listen to classical music a lot, but what I listen to varies greatly by what kind of mood I’m in! (I’m sure you can relate.)

I also like to stretch and do a few exercises while I’m out and about. Just basic stretching, some lunges, squats, maybe some push-ups, etc. What has been a game changer is not having wires to get tangled up or knotted while I’m exercising! No more awkwardly wrapping the wires around my phone, or balling them up and putting them on the ground while I do some stretches. The ear buds magnetize together so when you don’t need them, you just take them out of your ears and lay them on your chest! It is so dang convenient I can’t even imagine going back to my tangle-y, annoying wired ear buds.

You should also know how easy they are to use, you just turn them on and make sure bluetooth is turned on on your phone or music player, and they tell you they’re connected and you’re off and running (literally or figuratively)!

Well guess what? Now you can live #withoutwires too! I’ve teamed up with Jabra to give one lucky reader their very own Jabra ROX Wireless Headphones! Just leave a comment on this post telling me about a time you overcame an obstacle in your life and set yourself free, just like the Jabra ROX will set you free from a life of tangled wires!

(Giveaway open to U.S. readers only and will end at 11:59pm on Monday, 8/18!)

A time overcame an obstacle in my life was when I was living with my parents and I had to choose between whether they were going to continue paying for my college or them not continue to pay for my college while I was seeing my then boyfriend now husband. :) I choose love over them paying for my school and I paid for my own education and continued to be with the guy I loved. Now I am almost done paying off my bachelor’s degree and I am now continuing on with my master’s and hope to go on to do my doctorate and I am 22 years old :) You just have to follow your heart :)

Living a healthy, balanced life is an ongoing challenge in my life. I’ll probably never fully conquer it, but I’m certainly going to keep trying.

  8. I have always struggled with caring too much about what people thought and over analyzing everything to the point of causing myself anxiety. The past 6 years have been the most intensely that I have struggled with this and it has only been in the past one or so that I have realized what I do and how I need to go about working passed it. Running/lifting/exercise in general have always been a double edge sword for me. I love how I feel while doing any of these activities, but I am always looking over my shoulder to make sure I am not drawing attention to myself. Thankfully I am starting to overcome all of the negative thoughts and really focus on bettering me. For the first time in a long time I have been working out without thinking about what others are thinking/saying about me or if I look stupid doing something and this is because I have figured out my happy place. With headphones playing the music I love I am able to block out everything else and really focus on me. It is such a liberating feeling and it is something I am striving for in all aspects of my life - the gym is just the first place I am making noticeable improvements.

  9. Alina says:

I overcame one of my major struggles last year after many years of failure. This was to lose my baby weight. I always had a reason not to work out, or eat junk food instead of a healthy meal. I finally spoke to my husband, got on the same page, and with his support and love and constant positive pushing :) I managed to put the weight off and now I’m healthy and feel great!

  10. Sean C says:

Overcoming a drastic career change. I started from scratch and was scared and miserable. With hard work and the motivation to keep going I managed to be on a level in a new place that makes me happy.

  11. Jess says:

Look at those stems girl! I struggle with body image and am working by way towards seeing the beauty in myself. xoxo :)

  12. Brittany says:

I finally do not care what people think of me! Making decisions for myself based on what makes me happy and not doing it because it will please someone else. That’s a pretty tough one and sometimes it’s hard to remember to do things for me, but I’ve come a long way :)

  13. Kathleen DiMartino says:

I set myself free by realizing life takes it’s own twists and turns, and what ever is meant to be will be, god willingly. I suffer from chronic migraines and I allowed myself to realize it’s okay to take this time to rest- so freeing!
