My Utah locals need to pay special attention to this review…

In February I was lucky enough to have gel nails done by Sierra Unsicker (@sierrasnails_) at Seasons Salon & Day Spa in Orem, Ut. Sierra has already made a name for herself in Utah County as one of the most talented nail artists, and I found out why…

As it was February 9th when I went in for my appointment, I decided to go with a Valentine’s Day theme of conversation hearts!
Sierra is SO friendly and sweet, and super easy to talk to. This is critical because a gel nail appointment with details like I asked for can take a couple hours.

She first took the time to properly shape my nails and prep them. Then she applied the white base coat and I only messed up two of them putting them in to the lamp! (Sorry Sierra!) She then got to work on the hearts and I was SERIOUSLY impressed. She HAND painted the hearts and teensy weensy text with a paintbrush and acrylic paint. I was mesmerized. She did numerous top coats too- which probably contributed to the longevity of the gel!

Above are the photos of the nails along the way. Day 1 obviously they looked great, but then on DAY 6 they STILL looked amazing! No problems whatsoever. I was blown away. I’ve had many gel nail manicures before and by the end of the week I always peel them off because they’re coming off anyways… but I see why people go to Sierra now. On DAY 17 they still looked fine! Sure my nails had grown out a bit, but I could have gone on longer for sure. It was past Valentine’s Day though so I finally decided to take them off on Day 18, which was a painless process where I just peeled them off bit by bit. Now I’m ready to book my next appointment…
