I am just all too excited today to be teaming up with bareMinerals to announce the launch of their brand new liquid foundation, bareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation!

I’m sure you’re familiar with bareMinerals…I’ve been using their line for probably close to 10 years now. Their founder, Leslie Blodgett, found conventional foundation to be thick, and mask like, and it would often clog pores. She formed bareMinerals, centered around the power of minerals and powder foundations to improve the skin, instead of hiding it. I’ve loved their products for a long time, and I’m so happy to say I now love them even more!

Why?

They created a liquid foundation that contains no silicone, no oil, no water, no parabens and no fragrance.

It is hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic (won’t clog your pores), AND is SPF 20.

I know. I can’t believe it either.

They used a coconut derived base with jojoba-coated mineral pigments and brightening ingredients in the formula, and key ingredients like Lilac Plant Stem Cells and Vitamin C.

I’m constantly drawn to products with Vitamin C in them, I ALWAYS notice an improvement in my skin. Also I personally hate when people tout a product with fancy ingredients and you have no idea what it means, like “Lilac Plant Stem Cells”. Yeah that sounds great and all, but WHAT are they?! I’ll tell you. Lilac Plant Stem Cells have been recognized for their healing abilities and are known to provide antioxidant protection to your skin. bareMinerals extracts those cells, fortifies them with a mineral complex, and infuses them into the foundation which improves the appearance of the skin, and defends against environmental factors that can cause stress to the skin.

So not only are lilacs beautiful, they’re good for your skin too! (You learn something every day folks…)

To apply this magical stuff, they even came up with the perfect brush! The Perfecting Face Brush is the most unique brush I’ve ever seen. It has a little reservoir where you place drops of the foundation, and then spread it on your skin. The bristles are uber-soft, I’ve seriously found myself looking forward to applying my foundation in the morning, is that weird? Sooooo soft.

When applying the foundation, you drop 2 drops in to the brush for sheer coverage, 4 drops for medium coverage, and 6-8 drops for full coverage. Then buff on to the skin in circular motions.

I’ve become addicted to this foundation ladies.

It is PERFECT for spring and summer, when heavy, cake-y foundations are my nightmare in the hot sun. It is ultra-thin, silky and just enough coverage. If I have any trouble spots I just apply the bareSkin foundation, and then dot any problem areas with concealer.

I finish off with bareMinerals Mineral Veil, and my foundation is set and ready to go.
