I’m SO excited about today’s post because I’m going to show you my makeup routine using pretty much ONLY Too Faced cosmetics products! If you’ve followed my blog for a decent length of time I’m sure you’ve seen me mention Too Faced plenty in Instagram stories – and even back in THIS blog post from 2015! Jeez we’re digging back through the archives today… anyways let’s get on with it, I want to show you my everyday makeup look using these Too Faced best sellers!
Now – you probably know I am a very BUSY girl. I have a bunch of jobs, between my burgeoning Real Estate career, my day job in marketing at a nutritional supplement company, this here blog, and oh I dunno – nurturing my marriage. 🙂 Because of that I feel like I’ve become pretty good at getting ready and doing my makeup in a hurry. I HAVE to get out of the house in the morning on time, but I still want to feel confident and pretty. There are tons of tips and tricks I’ve learned to getting this feat done, and I want to share them with all of you! Introducing BUSY GIRL BEAUTY.
Along with this I’m also SO excited to finally announce that I am now a Senegence LipSense distributor! I assume you’ve heard of LipSense by now, but if not we’ll get into that later in this post…
I’ve been toying around with the idea of becoming a distributor for about a year and finally decided to get off the sidelines and dive in. You probably don’t know this, but I’ve been an avid LipSense user for over a year now. It’s the lipstick I ALWAYS go back to. I’d occasionally wear other lipsticks and glosses but I came to the conclusion I’m just not made for it. I usually forget I’m wearing it and get a big red stain on my clothing, or it’s all over my face as soon as I eat lunch. It’s just a disaster and I was so tired of the drama of trying to wear regular lipstick. My troubles are officially OVER!
I envision Busy Girl Beauty as a resource for us women to share our best tips, ask questions, and in general help other busy girls like ourselves feel confident and beautiful every day. This is also where I’ll post updates on my available LipSense colors, and any giveaways, contests, or sales I’m doing (there just might be a Mother’s Day sale coming today!). This is so much more than your typical LipSense business though. Even if you’re not interested in LipSense at all, I hope you’ll join for the community, and the hair, makeup, and skincare tips we’ll be sharing. Don’t forget to also follow along on Instagram!
Now, let’s talk about the RIGHT way to apply LipSense! I’ve learned that this method makes my color last the longest and looks the best.
Step 1: Apply Oops Remover all over lips and rub together. This cleans your lips and removes any residue.
I’ve talked before about the importance of using a serum in your nightly skincare routine – and I stand by that! Face wash, moisturizer, these are a given. But a serum is where you’ll actually see the benefits long term to your skin, especially in terms of anti-aging.

I am VERY choosy about what hair care products I post about. As I’ve told you guys many times, I only ever talk about things I’ve used for a considerable amount of time, and LOVE. Because I’ve used Living Proof many times in the past (see this post from 2015), I was more than happy to try out their brand new Restore Perfecting Spray! Little did I know just how well it would work…

As you all know I have worn hair extensions for a long time, specifically clip-in extensions, (usually from Laced Hair). I have a 22” set and an 18” set and I wear them often, so it’s important to take care of them correctly and with high-quality hair care products. Extensions are expensive after all, so you want to protect your investment!
The Long Sexy Hair line is specifically formulated for long hair and extensions. Each product is infused with Moringa Oil and Biotin, which give hair moisture and shine. Common issues with extensions are dryness and damage, so you need a great detangler when brushing out the hair. If you’ve ever washed clip-in hair extensions, you know the struggle is REAL when you have to brush them out afterwards. The Long Sexy Hair Leave-In Detangler is my new best friend!

Can you believe it’s almost 2017?! Every single year I end up with last minute New Year’s Eve plans, or rushing from work to an event, with NO time to wash and style my hair. Unfortunately, my hair gets greasy almost immediately after showering, so I LIVE off dry shampoo. Recently I’ve been using Dove Refresh + Care ‘Detox & Purify’ Dry Shampoo to save me TONS of time! I know I’ll be using it this weekend to preserve my hair through whatever festivities that pop up.
I feel a little bit like I have been keeping a secret from you guys! I’ve been using the Luminess airbrush makeup system for almost 2 years now but I’ve never really talked about it! I did a little blog post HERE forever ago but I didn’t say too much about it. In reality I’ve been using the airbrush system a few times a week ever since!

I’ve partnered with Clairol to create this post! Enjoy!
For a long time now I’ve been looking for ways to extend my time between appointments at the salon. I’ve been a faux redhead for about 2 years now so my color usually lasts fairly well. I mainly go to the salon to brighten or tweak the color as my mood dictates, and color my outgrown roots. Because my roots are noticeably outgrown at around 5-6 weeks, that is how often I make the (expensive) trek to the salon.
I’ve tried “at home” hair color products before but never had any luck. They didn’t color my roots at all, and the overall color would always fade completely with around 2-3 washes so I was back where I started. Totally useless! Clairol reached out to me to try their Nice ‘N Easy hair color line and I figured WHY NOT! I was about a week away from my salon appointment so there wasn’t any risk. If It worked, I could cancel my appointment – and if it didn’t, I would be getting fresh color anyways! Well needless to say, I cancelled my appointment…
Here are my “before” photos – my roots were grown out probably half an inch:
Today I partnered up with Zapzyt to bring you a post I’ve been working on for a LONG time. I have had acne and skin issues since I was a teenager, so I am VERY familiar with breakouts. With my years of experience comes strategies and methods for dealing with those terrible times. Presenting my BREAKOUT DAMAGE CONTROL CHECKLIST!
This checklist is basically a list of things you should do immediately if you start to feel a breakout happening, or even if you’ve just got a zit that you need gone ASAP.
