I’ve been on a mission lately to find work-appropriate outfits that aren’t boring. You KNOW what I mean, collared shirt, skirt or pants, flats, BLAHHH. I decided shorts are fine in the office if they’re knee length, and add a bell-sleeve shirt and you’ve got an interesting look totally appropriate for work!
For summer I also like to mix up my shoe choices, and instead of some heels or some basic flats, I love wearing sandals! We like to think of them as just casual, jeans and a t-shirt shoes but I feel they totally work in other situations too. These Circus by Sam Edelman lace-up flats are nice enough that they don’t look out of place, but I feel totally summery! They’re also on SALE right now at Famous Footwear and they come in 2 colors, so do what you will with that information. 🙂
I’d also like to inform everyone that these leopard shorts were actually PANTS that I found at Old Navy for TWO DOLLARS. $2.00. I looked at the cashier like, “What is happening right now?” I took them to my seamstress and had her make them into shorts, and now they are one of my favorite items in my closet. LOVE when that happens!
