Thank you to Dr. Dennis Gross for kindly sponsoring this post. All opinions are 100% honest & completely my own.
You’re probably wondering what this weird face mask contraption is and where this blog post is going… Sure, it looks like something straight out of Star Trek - and the results it creates are equally as futuristic! Let’s chat…
I’m 28 - soon to be 29 - and this year has truly been a turning point for my skin. I finally realize what people are talking about when they say “fine lines” and I’m definitely starting to see my skin lose that elasticity of my early 20’s. My laugh lines have deepened, and my crow’s feet have made their debut. Right about the time that I really started to get concerned about those pesky fine eye wrinkles, Dr. Gross contacted me to try out the SpectraLite EyeCare Pro…
The SpectraLite EyeCare Pro was created by Dr. Dennis Gross, who you’ve probably heard of as he’s a regular on the Dr. OZ, The Today Show, The Doctors, CBS: The Early Show, and on CNN. Dr. Gross is a dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon who has been in practice for 25 years, and the creator of Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare™ which is carried in Sephora. Long story short he knows his stuff, and he’s all about using the latest technology in skincare and anti-aging.
You’ve probably heard of in-office LED light treatments for fine lines and wrinkles. Dr. Gross performs them at his NYC practice, but he wanted to make the process easy and quick for people to do at home.
The SpectraLite EyeCare Pro contains 72 LED lights that penetrate deep within the dermis of your skin, stimulating collagen production to improve skin density and smooth fine lines and wrinkles. According to their studies, you will start to see cosmetic surface changes in as early as 2 weeks. In a 10 week daily-use clinical study, 97% of subjects showed visible improvement in fine lines, wrinkles, and skin tone.
We all know collagen is the latest skincare buzzword, but it really is the key to maintaining a healthy and youthful appearance. I was VERY skeptical about how some lights would improve my wrinkles, but the SpectraLite EyeCare Pro comes with a booklet that talks about the exact science behind how the lights work to do their miracle work. I studied up on it and I won’t go into all of the specifics here, but it does actually make sense, and according to their studies, it does work!
WARNING: You will look ridiculous and your husband or significant other will think you’ve completely lost your mind. But it’s only 3 minutes! I’ll do anything for 3 minutes a day to look like I’m 45 when I’m 70. 🙂
On clean dry skin, place the device over the eye area. There is a strap to go around your head if you need it. I just like to lay down for 3 minutes, so I don’t really need it. I turn the lights off in my room, close my eyes, and just take 3 minutes to meditate and relax. I use the SpectraLite EyeCare Pro at night right after I take off my makeup, but before applying my skincare products. Obviously you’ll want to make sure you’re using an eye cream after you use this, to maximize the effects. In 3 minutes a day you’re improving those fine lines and wrinkles using just LED lights - that’s one of my favorite things about it. No injections, harsh chemicals - just lights!
I’ve been using the SpectraLite EyeCare Pro for about 2 weeks now and I am definitely starting to see a difference. I’m really intrigued to see the results after 10+ weeks!
You can find the SpectraLite EyeCare Pro in Sephora stores, or online HERE and shipping is free.
What do you think, would you look like a science fiction character for 3 minutes a day, if it meant you could keep signs of aging at bay?
xoxo
