Vines & Leaves by Rachel Osguthorpe

This is my first Halloween as a certified redhead so I brainstormed the best redhead I could be, and I kept coming back to Poison Ivy from Batman! She is so sassy and I just love all of her costumes, so we had to make it happen. WE meaning my amazing colorist Aubrey Nelson (yes this is my real hair, no wig, no photoshop) and my talented makeup artist Vivian, and my photographer Emmy, with vines provided by the lovely Rachel!
Iām obsessed with how these turned out! These lovely ladies make me look soooooo poisonous. š
Vivian will have a full tutorial on her blog on how to nail this makeup look as well as the leaves on my forehead, so make sure to check that out! As for the rest of the costume, I made it! I just ordered a leotard from a dance company online, gloves from eBay, and tights from Target (these and these, Iām wearing two pairs). The shoes are Zara. Then I spray painted all of the leaves (from Hobby Lobby) with glitter spray paint, and then sewed them on the bodysuit and gloves! (Yeah that took waaaaayyyy longer than I thought it would, just be prepared if you want to do it too!)
I am just loving this costume and Iām going to rock it as much as I can this Halloween week! I also have a couple more costumes coming up this week for you, so keep a look out for those!
xoxo
Great costume! You look stunning. The eyebrow detail is really impressive.

Awesome costume. I love how you did the leaves on your torso - very simple and elegant!
