Happy Birthday to Me!

Today is my 26th birthday!

I thought it would be fun to do a little themed photoshoot for the big day since I’d never done one, and also give myself an excuse to wear an adorably girly tulle skirt! Let me tell you Emmy and I had such a blast cranking the tunes (“You know I’m all about that bass, ’bout that bass no treble…”) and accidentally popping balloons and erupting in giggles. Not to mention snarfing down one too many cupcakes (okay that was just me). But it’s my birthday, right? I get to have all the cupcakes I want!

I’ve always thought birthdays are such an exciting time! I’m definitely not one of those girls who dreads them and just thinks they’re a reminder of getting old. They’re a reminder that I’ve gotten to live another amazing year! A reminder of all of the wonderful friends and family I have who wish me a Happy Birthday. A reminder to be thankful for all of my blessings I have in my life and the fact that I’ve been able to enjoy them for another year. AND birthdays are a time to eat anything and everything you want.
I’m not kidding, it’s one of the main reasons I love birthdays. My favorite restaurants for dinner, and best of all, my favorite DESSERTS all week.

Last night we went to the Utah State Fair and just pigged out on corn dogs, funnel cakes, Dippin Dots, Dole whips, alligator bites, frog legs, and watermelon lemonade. It was a total blast and we had such an amazing time, it was such a fun birthday activity. I’m grateful for my friends and family, and all you wonderful readers who keep me going on this little corner of the web. Thank you!
