A couple weeks ago I had the opportunity to do a little photoshoot with some other local bloggers for Even Stevens sandwich shop! It was so much fun and I can’t wait to tell you about them, pay attention SLC locals there’s a giveaway in it for you!

Even Stevens is a sandwich shop with a cause. For every sandwich they sell, they donate one to a local non-profit partner. Between the two stores currently open (Salt Lake City and Sugarhouse, Utah) they have helped donate over 30,000 sandwiches to their partners: the YWCA, Volunteers of America, the Rescue Mission, the Good Samaritan Program, the Boys and Girls Club and St. Vincent De Paul Soup Kitchen.

They are a community minded brand that works with local artists, musicians, coffee roasters, cheese makers, bread bakers and beyond. In each city they inhabit they want to become one with the community through helping their hungry, using their awesome local products in their menu lineup, and encompassing the vibe of that hood. Their Instagram is all about their food, their cause, and the happenings of SLC.

Mermaids are considered protectors of the sea in certain folklore. Even Steven’s sustainably caught Mahi Mahi is paired with my seaside look. (Seriously, who wants to put 5 species of sea turtle in danger?) Cilantro aioli, a perfectly baked fish-filet and a heap of tangy house slaw. Try it with a lemon San Pellegrino & bring your favorite flip-flops. I really did eat that sandwich just so you know and it was delicious!
