Today I put together a little guide for where to eat, where to shop, and where to visit in Salt Lake City, Utah – my hometown!
Eva’s Bakery
155 S. Main St.
Salt Lake City, UT
I have a HUGE sweet tooth – so bakeries are first on my list when I visit a new town! One you have to visit here in Utah is Eva’s Bakery, an authentic, beautiful bakery and café that I just love. How adorable is it?! Try their signature pastry the “kouign aman”, it looks basic, but it is glazed flaky deliciousness. Also don’t miss the fruit tarts, my favorite!
Koo De Ker Boutique
1037 E. 900 S.
Salt Lake City, Utah
I have to say that I would so much rather go to a local boutique to shop than a big, nationwide store. Koo De Ker Boutique is one of my absolute favorites! It’s in the 9th & 9th area, which is a really cute shopping area here in SLC. The owner is a beautiful, kind woman named Kyong, she runs an amazing Instagram account where she styles items from the shop regularly and you can even order directly from her and shipping is only $5! Things are reasonably priced and unique and I just get so excited when she posts a new Insta of a new item, but even more excited when I get a chance to go shop! I picked up this green striped dress while I was there the other day and it is my new favorite- it’s just a “throw on and go” dress. I also grabbed another dress I’m excited to show (stay tuned to my Instagram for a giveaway too…) If you’re in town, make sure to go visit Kyong and her amazing boutique!
Utah’s Hogle Zoo
2600 Sunnyside Avenue
Salt Lake City, UT
I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been to Hogle Zoo! It is a great, inexpensive activity to do when you’re in Salt Lake. The animals are awesome and they have SO many! You can take a day or a few hours and just wander. Take the train around the park too, it’s a great way to see parts of the enclosures you can’t normally see by walking around. Regular adult admission is only $14.95 in the summer, which is a great price for a fun day seeing some beautiful animals. Definitely visit the zoo next time you’re in Salt Lake!
I hope this post was helpful to you and you can visit some of these great spots next time you visit SLC!
