Happy New Year’s Eve! In the past I traditionally go for lots of sequins on NYE, see 2014 HERE, and 2015 HERE. However this year I felt that a poofy, slightly metallic tulle skirt was the right choice for me. In photos this skirt is beautiful, but in PERSON it is SO gorgeous. I got so many compliments when I wore it for these photos because there is a metallic layer under the tulle that makes it just shimmer when you walk. I also love this look because it has an air of “Audrey Hepburn” to me, classic, feminine, and timeless.
In all reality I never quite now how my NYE will be spent, but I love to get dressed up and have an outfit on standby just in case. Even if I spend it in PJ’s with friends. 🙂
I have to be honest, 2016 was one of the hardest years of my life with various life changes and some family things that happened, I’ll be glad to put this year behind me. Luckily I had my husband by my side to hold my hand and tell me everything was going to be just fine. Needless to say, I’m really looking forward to 2017 and everything it has in store.
