If you guys have ever been curious about the kinds of things bloggers get mailed to them, then have I got a video for you! While I was gone living in Thailand for 3 months, the packages piled up at home so I decided to sit down and open them on camera for you. These include:
- PR (Public Relations): When brands or PR companies have the address of bloggers on file, and when they come out with new products they ship them out to us to try out and hopefully talk about with our followers. Not sponsored usually, the brands just send things in hopes we love it and try it out.
- Gifting: Gifting can be more broad, for example the boots in this video from Isola. They are not paying me to post about them, but they asked me to pick out a pair from their site and sent them to me in hopes I would wear them and post about them in an outfit post on my blog and social media. Gifting generally means product that was sent to a blogger, but without a sponsored post or anything required.
I hope that gives you an insight into the kinds of things you see bloggers “unbox” or show you on Instagram stories from time to time. Of course some things are from paid sponsorships and sometimes that is the case. With these packages, they all happened to be things I ordered or things that were gifted to me. Some of them I did not know were coming, the brands just ship when they have new products to share and don’t usually give me warning. I LOVE when that happens because it’s so fun to have a surprise show up unannounced!
