Let’s talk the Sephora Beauty Insider sale. Depending on your rewards level you can either get 10% or 15% off your order. Sephora VERY rarely has sales, so this is a great time to stock up for the year! They also have a great return policy, so don’t be afraid to test something out, and then if you need to you can return it. You’re not going to be stuck with any products you hate.
Here are my favorites from the sale! (I know, it’s a lot. I’m making over my makeup bag and I’ll be talking ALL about that soon…)
Tan:
I’ve been using The Tan-Luxe “The Face” drops for a few months now in Light/Medium and I’ve LOVED IT, so I’m getting the “The Body” drops now on the sale. I love mixing the oil into my moisturizer at night - and I love that you can control your amount. More tan? I use 4 drops, if I’m just maintaining it, maybe 1-2. It smells good and doesn’t break me out. WINNER.
Hair:
I switch between a few different Shampoo & Conditioners every few weeks (I think that’s good for your hair) and this Briogeo set is a go-to. You know the Capri Blue Volcano candle at Anthropologie? It SMELLS LIKE THAT. I just sit and smell my hair all day after I use it, it’s heavenly. I did a full review on it here. Long story short, this set is definitely in my cart.
It Cosmetics:
I’ve used every single one of these products from It Cosmetics and I love them all. This CC Cream, Powder, and Fluid are favorites I talked about in my ‘Every Foundation I Tried in 2017′ blog post, you can read more in-depth info there including what shades I use. Oh and at this point I’m addicted to this Fluid, I mix it with every foundation I wear lately because it makes them go on so beautifully! +SPF so yeah, it’s great.
This brow pencil is so good, it’s very versatile, the stick isn’t too thick or thin - obviously if you have really light brows or dark, it’s not “universal”, but for most people it really does work.
I ran out of my container of Confidence in a Cream late last year, it’s really such a versatile, perfect for everyone moisturizer. Since then I’ve been using their new Secret Sauce moisturizer and it too is so good - I’m running low now as well.
I’ve used the Superhero mascara for years. It’s a cult favorite and REALLY plumps up your lashes. I have issues with the formula because after a few months it gets thick and messy on the tube, but by then I’m just about out anyways and need to replace it so it’s not too big of a deal, it’s still one of the best mascaras out there. BUT if you are going to get that, I’d recommend getting the Lashstash To G0 Set - because you get 5 sample sizes of popular mascaras, AND a voucher for a full size one and it’s only $28 (+ your discount) so get that instead, and then use the voucher for the Superhero mascara if you love it. It’s about the same price and you get the samples too. Makes so much more sense!
Dr. Gross:
Dr. Gross is amazing, their products just WORK and I am such a fan. Specifically I’ve been using this eye cream for MONTHS every single morning and night, and I somehow have so much left? No clue how it has lasted so long, but you truly get your money’s worth. Also most eye creams irritate my skin and this one is very gentle, no issues at all. I also have been using this exfoliating moisturizer and it’s not dramatic, but definitely helps with the sloughing off of that dead skin while you sleep. Very gentle as well though, you don’t feel anything but moisture.
Last but not least these peel pads are a skincare cult favorite among bloggers. I have used them for a few weeks now and I definitely notice results. I’ve got some scarring I’m trying to fade, and they are doing more for it than any other treatment I’ve tried. They are EXPENSIVE I know, but my feeling is if it works, it should probably be expensive. And they DO work - so get them on sale while you can! Also start with the regular strength if you’re not sure how your skin will react.
Tools:
I am really into minimizing everything in my life lately, including my makeup bag and I’ll be talking more about that later, but basically I am really into double ended makeup brushes. They take up less space, and are faster to use even because you’re not switching brushes, you just flip them around. VERY into it lately guys. Also my original Beauty Blender ripped so I am getting another one. I’ve never found a dupe that even comes close, and believe me I’ve looked - so just bite the bullet because they are killer. I use the Beauty Blusher for under my eyes, and mine is worn the heck out, so I’m getting another one. I know it says blusher, but just ignore that, it’s pretty much tailor made for under eye concealer.
Also with the beauty blenders, you just need to get one of their cleansers. I’ve tried Dawn and all kinds of cleansers on them, and for some reason the actual blender cleansers work MAGIC at cleaning them. There are some complaints about the liquid dispenser, so if you’re worried about that just get the solid and you’ll be so happy you did. It REALLY prolongs the life of your sponges.
Foundation:
I am grabbing these two foundations because I’ve heard such amazing things and I’m dying to try them. If you’re looking for new foundations other than these, read my post of every foundation I used last year and it might help you decide which would be right for you to try while they’re on sale.
I didn’t link these above, but next on my list to try are the Huda Beauty #FauxFilter and the reMarcable foundations.
Blush, Bronzer, Powder & Concealer:
Let’s just lump these into one big category, shall we? I’ve heard such amazing things about Champagne Pop and yet never tried it, well no more. It’s mine now. I’ve been dying to try this concealer for awhile now, it’s supposed to be insanely high-coverage and I really need that. This Too Faced bronzer SMELLS LIKE CHOCOLATE. I’ve worn mine down so far I can barely use it anymore, so I’m replacing it.
The Laura Mercier powders have amazing reviews and I’ve wanted to try them forever, I can’t believe I haven’t yet!
This It Cosmetics under-eye concealer illuminates and really stays put well, I used it for years. Great, well priced under-eye concealer for just about anyone.
These are the two most popular shades of NARS blush and bronzer, and they come in one palette, so again - I LOVE the minimal vibe of this one.
Eyeshadow:
I’ve been using this Smashbox Photo Edit shadow in ‘light’ and love it, it’s super pigmented and stays great. I’m getting this NARS set to see if I can just have this in my bag, all I ever use is a brown for my cut crease, and a light tan all over. ‘Bellisima’ seems to be exactly that, so we’ll see!
Brows:
I’m not specifically a fan of Brow Wiz, but it’s VERY popular so if you have thinner brows, go for it. In my case I like a thicker, angled pencil so I’m getting the Brow Definer. In terms of brow gel, I haven’t found a better alternative to the Anastasia Brow Gel. It lasts forever so you do get your money’s worth, and it just works well. Re-purchasing since I ran out!
Other:
Okay trying to hurry through the rest of these! Here are more favorites I would totally recommend to you guys in a heartbeat.
I use this deodorant every day, it’s so popular for a reason. I was skeptical, but just do it and then I can say “I told you so.”
Been using this body wash for weeks now and it smells SO good. Also it is very moisturizing which I need in DRY UTAH.
This eyeshadow palette has 4.6 stars out of 5, and 3k reviews. It has every classic shadow you could possibly need - and it’s already on sale plus the additional Insider sale. SO GOOD.
I got this perfume in my Scentbird subscription and used every DROP, so now I need the full size. It’s really perfect and I love it for summer.
I’ve been using this blush and this setting spray lately, and I’m loving it. Highly recommend them both!
I got this mascara on the Ulta sale recently because my old one ran out - it’s a favorite for sure! Truth be told I usually do 1-2 coats of this one, then a few coats of the It Cosmetics Superhero mascara and then comb them out with a lash comb - but I understand that’s a LOT for just lashes. 🙂
LAST BUT NOT LEAST - Fragrance gift sets!!
These are KILLER - they make great gifts for any woman, especially if you’re not sure what they might like. Sephora takes sample sizes of their best perfumes and puts them into kits. You get the 5+ samples AND a voucher for a full-size version later. You test them out, see which you love, and go get your full size (or in some cases rollerball size) with the voucher. They are SUCH a steal and if you’ve been looking for new perfume, these are what you need to get. Also they’re great to stock up on for gifts throughout the year. (Mother’s Day anyone?!)
WHEW Okay you guys I think that’s most everything, although I’m sure I could go on with more things, these are the TOP picks and a lot of things I’m personally getting on the sale.
Note when shopping: Check where you’re at on your rewards level. If you’re $100 away from hitting VIB, but you want to buy $200 worth of stuff, place one order for $100, get to the VIB level, and then place another order for the rest of what you want but now it’s 15% off instead of 10%! It saves you a little more money that way.
Happy shopping! Tell me in a comment, what are you getting on the sale?!
xoxo
